Spotlight's on: Juanita Stringfield I was born in Southern California and raised in Tijuana, Mexico which gave me a different perspective on the way I look at things. As a teenager, I worked for the State of Baja California's Government as the Chief Administrator for the Attorney General's Office for the Tourism Protection before I moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1980. Since my English was somewhat limited I worked for a trucking company for several years until due to a turn of events got a job in car sales in West Los Angeles. The Automobile industry became my home and in 1986, I met my husband of 32 years, Terry. We moved to Texas in 2001 an opened a used car dealership in Harlingen and after 15 years, in 2016 Terry decided it was time to retire. I am a Rotarian because I believe there is no greater joy in life that to be of service. My passion is the well-being and protection of the environment and women's issues and empowerment. I wear my Rotary Pin with pride to inspire me to always remain present on the betterment of our community, our country and our planet. |
