Since 1965 the Boys and Girls Clubs of Harlingen has had countless kids walk through our doors who have found a path to greatness.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Harlingen are:
1. Dedicated Youth Facility—The Boys & Girls Club is a place – an actual neighborhood-based building – designed for youth programs and activities.
2. Open Daily—The Club is open every day after school when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets.
3. Professional Staff—Every Club has full-time, trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
4.   Available and Affordable to All Youth—Clubs reach out to youth and teens who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other community programs.

$$$ Weekly Drawings $$$

Dr. Juan Villarreal won the drawing, but did not draw the Ace of Spades.
This leaves around $40 in the pot.
Sorry Dr. Villarreal... Not!
Member Spotlight - Pam Magouirk
Spotlight is on...
Pam Magouirk
Pam Magouirk is a native of Louisville, KY, but has called Harlingen home since 1983. She worked for Valley Baptist Health System for 32 years in various Finance and Operations positions beginning her career there as a Budget Analyst up to successfully implementing and being the first Executive Director of Valley Baptist’s RGV Indigent Health Care Corporation providing the indigent uninsured in Cameron County access to quality health care through a managed care model in cooperation with 300+ physicians and all hospitals in Cameron County. After leaving RGV Indigent, she last served Valley Baptist/Tenet Healthcare as the Chief Operating Officer for Allegian Health Plans serving the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio and East Texas areas with access to commercial health insurance and Medicare Advantage products until its sale to BCBS in November 2017. Being semi-retired, Pam has decided to pursue a different career path and is currently studying to obtain her Real Estate Sales License to help others find their dream Harlingen/RGV home! Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY. She is currently a volunteer tutor at The Literacy Center of Harlingen, teaching English as a Second Language and serves as Secretary of its Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of The Mayor’s Fitness Council/Healthy Harlingen and is Chair of the Workplace Wellness Initiative and is working to develop a Neighborhood Walking Groups initiative. Pam was married to her late husband, Gene Magouirk, for 33 years prior to his passing in 2017; has two sons, Travis and Tyler and two wonderful “bonus” daughters, Shannon and Melissa; and five grandchildren. She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church; enjoys music and spending time with family and friends and looks forward to helping serve her community through Rotary.
