Member Spotlight - Lydia Aleman

A highly engaged professional with leadership skills in nonprofit organizations & higher education. She joined Girl Scouts of Greater South (GSGST) Texas in January 2019 as their next CEO.   She came to GSGST after investing 26 years in higher education where she served as the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services.  She has deep experience in fundraising, management, accounting and development. She has earned 3 degrees, a BA in Accounting and two Masters, an MBA and a MACC (master's in accountancy). She enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and her two adult daughters both of which are proud Longhorns.   In her spare time, she enjoys running and reading.   She has completed over 50 races, two of which were half marathons.   She loves reading all types of genres.
