Belinda Cavazos-Zapata (Belle). I’m a native of the Rio Grande Valley and have lived in Harlingen since 1979. I’m a single mother or three adult children who attended HCISD. They are all college graduates and now raising their own families. My son, Eric Paul, is 34 yrs. old and a father of two beautiful children. He and his family live in Harlingen.  My daughter, Elizabeth Danielle, is 29, she and her husband Jeff live in Buda, Texas. They don’t have children but they do have two dogs.  My youngest daughter, Sarah Elise is 25 yrs. old. She and her husband Nathan live in Austin with their daughter. Nathan is serving our country as a Sargent (Black Hawk Crew Chief) with the US Army. He has been deployed to Afghanistan since June, 2018 and we are praying for his safe return in June 2019. I have been a Farmers Insurance Agency -Owner since November 2014. I carry my Securities License which allows me to help with Retirement Accounts and Collage Plans. From 2002-2013 I was the General Manager for Bert Ogden Auto Plaza where I managed 3 dealerships and 125 employees. From 1993-2002 I was the General Sales Manager for the Payne Auto Group in Weslaco, Texas. From 1980- 1993 I worked for Ford Motor Credit Company. My absolute favorite job was working at Mr. Donut (at 15 yrs. of age) where I learned what customer service was all about. I opened my first savings account with the tips I earned that summer. I always say “If I could make the money, I make now, I’d still be working there”. HAHAHAH!!! I am proud to be a member of the Harlingen Rotary Club, Vice-President for the Harlingen Area Education Foundation and a former board member for CASA of Cameron and Willacy Counties. I attend Mass at St Anthony Catholic Church @ 8: 00 am where I serve as a Lector. Sonny (my yellow lab) and I are enjoying the empty nest era of ours lives.!!!! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram
