Mariano Ayala was the former President/CEO of the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau for 11 years. He has also been either an HR Director, Business Development Director or Public Information Director for three hospitals.   
Community Service: he has served as an MC, host or Coached for the City of Brownsville, Charro Days, Mr. Amigo Association, Sombrero Festival, Episcopal Day School, First Baptist School and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brownsville and Los Fresnos Boys & Girls Club.
Mr Ayala as a degree from University of Texas-Pan American Brownsville.

He has served on the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus State Board of Directors, Greater Brownsville Incentive Board, Leadership Brownsville Board of Directors and he and along with his wife Patti, served as 2013 Campaign Co-Chairs for the United Way of Southern Cameron County.

He has received the following awards and recognitions:  Executive Director “Rookie of the Year” for Boys & Girls Clubs of America Southwest Region, Leadership Brownsville Distinguished Alumnus, Texas Society of Association Executives Community Service Award and Texas Police Athletic Federation Hall of Fame Honorary Member Inductee.

He is currently the Rio Grande Valley Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities South Texas.
