A Rotarian for over 30 years and a respected orthodontist, Arezzo brings extensive leadership experience, including service as RI Director and Strategic Planning Committee Vice Chair. 🌍 Introducing Rotary International President 2025–26: Francesco Arezzo

Rotary International enters the 2025–26 year under the leadership of Francesco Arezzo, a seasoned Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Ragusa, Italy. Arezzo was appointed President‑Elect by the RI Board of Directors following the resignation of Mário César Martins de Camargo in June 2025. With more than 30 years of Rotary service, Arezzo brings both continuity and renewed purpose to Rotary’s global mission.

Professionally, Arezzo is a respected orthodontist with affiliations across Italian, European, and American dental associations. Beyond his medical practice, he has served in civic leadership as Vice President of the National Association of Italian Dentists (Ragusa province), and previously founded and led the Ragusa delegation of the National Trust for Italy. His dedication to public service is further recognized by his investiture as a Knight of Honor and Devotion in Obedience in the Sovereign Order of Malta.

In Rotary, Arezzo’s leadership resume is substantial. He has served as a Rotary International Director, Vice Chair of the Joint Strategic Planning Committee, a Learning Facilitator, and a Presidential Representative at district conferences. He is also a Rotary Foundation Major Donor and Benefactor.

At the Rotary International Convention in Calgary this June, Arezzo unveiled the theme for his year: “Unite for Good.” Speaking to thousands of Rotarians, he emphasized the urgent need for Rotary to be a unifying global force — bridging divides and inspiring collective action.

“Let us create one great shared dream that unites us, that excites us, that changes the world — and changes our lives too,” he said in his closing address.

Francesco and his wife, entrepreneur Anna Maria Criscione, are proud parents of two and remain active in both professional and community service.

As we prepare for the year ahead, President‑Elect Arezzo’s vision reminds us that the heart of Rotary is not only in what we do, but how we come together to do it. In his words, Rotary is where we unite, and where doing good is not just a goal, but a shared calling.
