What a great month this been! Our Club has been part of some amazing activities across the GLOBE. First, after a few years' delay due to COVID-19, we are excited to announce the international project envisioned by Past-President Wayne Lowry has been completed. Residents in rural areas of Nigeria who previously had to go miles for clean water now have their own source of local, clean, and free water thanks to the efforts of Wayne and our club. What a great project. We will be posting the videos of the dedication online and, WOW, is the only word to describe the excitement of these individuals.
Rotarians took part in volunteering at the City of Harlingen Food Distribution event, two 5K's to raise funds for victims of child abuse, supported Loaves and Fishes, and we are in the FINAL stages of organizing our CENTENNIAL GALA for this summer. We need your help and cannot wait for this wonderful event.
Plus, work on the Soccer Project received some potentially great news and we are looking forward to a future announcement that will, hopefully, lead to a significant improvement to our initial design.
Thanks for all that you for our community (and WORLD) and we will see you guys TWICE this week.
