πŸ”Ή Kathy Preddy – District Learning Committee Chair

πŸ‘ Thank You, Jennifer Allen! πŸ‘

Last Friday, the Rotary Club of Harlingen was honored to welcome fellow Rotarian Jennifer Allen, Executive Director of United Way of Northern Cameron County, as our featured speaker.

Jennifer shared an inspiring overview of the important work being done by United Way to strengthen our communities across Northern Cameron and Willacy Counties. Her passion for bringing people together to address local challenges and improve the lives of children and families was evident throughout her presentation.

Members learned more about United Way's mission, its collaborative approach to connecting resources where they are needed most, and several impactful initiatives, including Women United, the ALICE framework, and Build-A-Bed, a hands-on project dedicated to ensuring that every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your time, expertise, and commitment to service. Your presentation was both informative and inspiring, and we appreciate the difference you and United Way continue to make in our region. πŸ’™
