As the calendar turns, the Rotary Club of Harlingen steps into the new year with purpose and confidence. The past six months have been busy, productive, and meaningful, a clear reminder that service does not slow down, it gains momentum 🚀.
In that time, the club gathered week after week for conversation, learning, and connection. Sixteen programs and speakers challenged our thinking, while socials and assemblies strengthened relationships 🤝. A classification talk and a visioning workshop helped sharpen our focus and clarify where we are headed next.
Behind the scenes, communication never stopped. Fifty-one weekly bulletins kept members informed, while our website, rotaryhrl.org, and Facebook page continued to connect Rotary with the broader community 🌐. Twenty-two meetings brought us together, with an average attendance of just over forty percent, a reminder that showing up still matters.
Most importantly, service stayed at the heart of everything we do ❤️. Fourteen Service Above Self projects turned intention into action. From Hearts of Giving and Build a Bed to blood drives, Thanksgiving meals, and Holiday Magic Shopping, Rotary hands and hearts were at work across Harlingen. These moments define who we are.
Today, the club stands strong with 75 active members and three honorary members, each contributing time, energy, and leadership in their own way 👥. Engagement continues, and the foundation is solid.
The story moving forward is simple and honest. Six months of service behind us. One clear direction ahead. The new year is waiting, and the Rotary Club of Harlingen is ready.
