Marilyn has been a life-long educator, teaching nearly all age levels & grades & in both English & Spanish. She served here in Harlingen as a teacher at Long Elementary then Assistant Principal at Bowie Elementary. Retirement has found her busier than ever as she volunteers with many organizations & has fun with her 10 grandchildren.
Her husband Jake & her son Joel are active Rotary members.
She serves on the board of Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival as chair of the Trade Show.
Greetings. Our Rotary Club meeting is scheduled for today, Friday, August 27th at the Harlingen Library, 410 76th Street. You don't want to miss this week's guest speaker, Marilyn Vincent, Trade Show Chair of Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival!
Lunch will be from Jason's Deli at $10 each and salads at $12 each. Also, don't forget to buy your ticket(s) for a chance to win over $1,000!

Congratulations to Harlingen High School Interact’s Galyze Landaverde!
Galyze was the winner of the Harlingen Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest, the winner of the Rotary Area Contest, and placed 3rd at the District Contest. Past District Governor Eddie Bartnesky Jr, and past HHS Interact Sponsor Tiffany Preddy Albury awarded Galyze her scholarship at today’s meeting.
Galyze graduated this year and will be studying at The University of Texas at Austin.
