FELLOW ROTARIANS,

The Rotary year is underway, and already we’re seeing what happens when intention meets action. Thank you again to everyone showing up with energy, curiosity, and commitment.

A heartfelt thanks to Lidia Cantu for kicking off our program year with such purpose. Her work in advocacy and outreach reminded us that behind every service project are real people and that connection is where the impact begins.

As we move through Maternal and Child Health & Transition Month, it’s fitting that our focus continues on the health and dignity of families in our region. Rotary’s work in maternal and child health is about more than just access, it's about equity, education, and trust. It’s about creating systems that protect the most vulnerable at the most critical moments of life.

This week’s speaker brings that mission into sharp focus.

🎤 THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM – FRIDAY, JULY 25
We are proud to welcome Priscilla Ann Quintero, Lead Maternal Fetal Medicine Diagnostic Sonographer at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

With over 22 years of ultrasound experience, including 12 years specializing in maternal fetal medicine, Priscilla brings both clinical depth and a strong commitment to compassionate care. A proud alumna of the University of Texas at Brownsville, she holds multiple degrees in radiologic and sonographic technology, capped by a Bachelor of Applied Technology in 2014.

When she’s not advancing diagnostic excellence, Priscilla is also a pop culture enthusiast!

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a healthcare leader doing essential work for mothers and babies in our community.

❤️ GIVING HEARTS EVENT – FIRST SERVICE PROJECT OF THE YEAR!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 2 | 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Harlingen, we’ll be serving 83 local children with school essentials and a dose of joy. This annual tradition kicks off our service calendar and we need boots on the ground.

We need volunteers.
Show up, roll up your sleeves, and help us make this a meaningful start to our year of service. No better way to “Make Service Personal.”

Let’s carry the momentum forward—26 strong showed up last week, now let’s pick up that number. Staying grounded in purpose and always remembering: Make Service Personal.
Your voices matter. Your presence matters. And together, we make this club come alive.

In Rotary Service,
