"Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say, on bright Hawaiian Christmas Day....." - Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters
Thank you to Chief Sergio Gonzalez, USN with Toys for Tots for last week's excellent presentation on the fine work that organization does for our children here in the RGV. We will be asking members to bring toys to the next two meetings so that our club can gift them to Toys for Tots and Sunny Glen Children's Home in time for Christmas. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for the kids and we will do our best to show our support for those who give back to our community.
This week we are lucky to have Valley Baptist Medical Center President & CEO Manny Vela presenting to the club. Mr. Vela and our own Jennifer Bartnesky Smith will give us an update on the new things happening at the hospital, and future plans. It should be a great event.
Thank you to those who tried to help us at Saturday's Highway Cleanup Activity. Apologies for those who did not get the notification that the event was postponed due to safety concerns for the many children who were working the event. We will try to reschedule ASAP.
Additionally, thanks to Club Members who assisted the San Benito Rotary Club on Sunday at their Christmas at the Park Event! Great job ladies!
