📣 MY FELLOW ROTARIAN,

On Friday, September 5th, we kicked off Basic Education and Literacy Month with an enlightening presentation by Harlingen City Commissioner and fellow Rotarian, Mike Mezmar. Blending his expertise as a nurse with a deep passion for paleontology, Mike shared captivating insights into the world of dinosaurs, sparking curiosity and engagement among our members.

Thank you, Mike, for “Mezmar-izing” us with your knowledge and enthusiasm. Your dedication to both healthcare and science exemplifies the spirit of lifelong learning and community service. We are grateful for your continued contributions to our club and the broader Harlingen community.

Education changes everything. It opens doors, lifts communities, and sparks progress where it is needed most. In September, our club will focus on this essential truth by hosting leaders in literacy and education. Their work is a call to action, showing us how we can each play a role in strengthening our community through learning and opportunity.
