"I want an Official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle!" - Ralphie, A Christmas Story
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with loved ones and that you took a moment to reflect on all the gifts we have been given over the past year. Even when we've had losses or sad times, we are blessed to have almost 100 friends in this club who we can call for support.
We have made the move to what I refer to as "tamale season". For the next month we have some fun Christmas and holiday activities planned. This week we are blessed to have Toys for Tots presenting to our club on the good works they, and the Marine Corps Reserves, do to help provide gifts for needy children. We humbly ask that you please bring a new, unwrapped toy to this week's meeting that we can provide them. Your support is greatly appreciated!
We also have some fun service projects planned with our Highway Cleanup Activity scheduled on Loop 499-Mayor Card Blvd scheduled for THIS SATURDAY, December 3rd at 8:30 AM. We hope to see you there!
Additionally, our club will be assisting the San Benito Rotary Club on Sunday at their Christmas at the Park Event. Please see the flyer below and contact Sumer and JuJu if you are able to attend and help represent Rotary Harlingen.
