Imelda Peña and Gabriel Soto serve as Small Business and Local Government Compliance Assistance Specialists within TCEQ’s regional team, supporting communities and organizations across Texas, including the Rio Grande Valley. In their roles, they work directly with businesses and local governments to help them understand and comply with environmental regulations while promoting responsible and sustainable practices.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is the state agency responsible for protecting public health and natural resources, with a focus on ensuring clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste across Texas.

During their presentation, Imelda and Gabriel will share valuable insights into regulatory compliance, environmental responsibilities, and the resources available to support businesses in meeting state requirements.
