Fellow Rotarians,

As we begin this new Rotary year, we also pause to reflect on the real challenges facing our fellow Texans. While many celebrated the Fourth of July weekend, severe flooding struck Kerrville and surrounding Central Texas communities, bringing tragedy instead of celebration. As of today, at least 78 lives have been lost, including children, and many more remain unaccounted for.

Our hearts go out to the families grieving such unimaginable loss. District 5930 is in close communication with District 5840, which is at the epicenter of the disaster. A coordinated Rotary response is being developed, and once the rescue and recovery phase concludes, we will be called upon to assist. Until then, our club stands ready to serve  as we always do with compassion, humility, and action.

🔮 Visioning Workshop – Saturday, July 26 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We’re honored to host the District 5930 Visioning Team as we shape the next chapter of our club’s journey. All members whether new, returning, or seasoned are encouraged to attend. Let’s dream big and set bold priorities for the year ahead. Details to follow.

❤️ Giving Hearts Event – Saturday, August 2 | 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Harlingen, we’ll once again share a moment of dignity and joy with 80 local children through our Giving Hearts tradition.
