Applications are currently being accepted for volunteers who would like to work in a medical clinic in Costa Rica for 14 days, scheduled for June 2015. Volunteers will work as a member of the Global Health Team administered by International Service Learning.  At the clinic, volunteers participate, under the direct supervision of local, licensed health professionals, with patient interviews, taking vital signs, performing basic triage, and filling prescriptions. Volunteers also have the opportunity to closely observe the examination, diagnosis, and treatment process. Teams are led by professional staff and accompanied by bilingual assistants." Please note that level of participation is as involved as each team member is comfortable with. Rotarians and their family members are not eligible. Additional details are available on the District website at www.rotary5930.org.   The deadline to apply is Dec. 08, 2014.
Thanksgiving Feast of Sharing
The annual Feast of Sharing event will be held on Nov 21st.  Our club will be working on the shift from 1:45 to 3:00 PM.  Anyone interested in helping should contact Kathy Preddy.

Mark Molina won the drawing but didn’t draw the “King of Spades” That leaves $126 in the cumulative pot plus new ticket sales.  Good Luck to all who participate!
